Gus the Piggy

Somehow we were persuaded to baby-sit a guinea pig over the weekend.  I’m still not sure how that happened but Samuel enjoyed it.  Mike tried to take him out of the cage on Saturday morning but Samuel was more than poor Gus could handle and he would not come out for anything.  So we tried again on Sunday afternoon and Mike got him out while I was getting Samuel up from his nap.

Samuel spends a lot of time laying next to the cage showing the “piggy” all of his toys and talking to him.  Gus hides in his house wishing that Samuel would just go away.  He really only comes out if Ro Ro is sleeping. Ha!  While I was a nervous wreck, afraid that we were going to have a little rodent running free in our house, it was a good activity for Samuel.  He loved feeding and “playing” with him for a couple of days.  But now I’m glad the weekend is over.
