Whew! It’s been quite the week at the Burns’ house. As of this morning all three of us have been to the clinic this week: Samuel had his eye problem and both Mike and I came down with sore throats. We seem to be on the mend now and after a winter full of viruses we are looking forward to spring! Despite all of our germs we had a wonderful time celebrating Samuel’s second birthday on Wednesday!
We started the day off with the birthday crown and pancakes.
And we ended the day with Rainbow Cake and Chocolate icing (chosen by the birthday boy himself).
He was definitely more thrilled with the cake this year although he still wasn’t to thrilled with icing on his hands.
He loves to tell people that he’s two and that he got to eat cake on his birthday.
He got a new basketball goal and lots of Hot Wheels and race cars for his birthday. He loves them all. The new race track was a life saver yesterday as Mike and I spent most of the day on the couch and Ro Ro was pretty much on his own.
We can’t believe we have a two-year-old. Time flies when you’re having fun!
