All of the local Burns’ men (minus Grandpa) went out on a last minute shopping trip this morning. So Molly and I enjoyed a nice, quiet girls’ morning. We took some pictures in front of the tree, baked some Christmas cookies and decorated the kids’ bathroom. Oh, and we told lots of secrets. She’s on a secret telling kick right now and it’s just about the sweetest thing in the world so she can generally get me to stop just about anything to whisper some nonsense in my ear. And when brother’s not around she doesn’t have to take turns.
I’ve been reading up on how to take tree photos. Surprisingly she was more than happy to pose for me so we went for it!
Sadly the lighting is better in our living room in the evening. But we did the best we could with a flash.

Papa built her stool and Aunt Cori painted it. The back comes down to make a step. Samuel has one too that we keep in the bathroom. So far Molly’s has been a great tool for Samuel to catapult himself into Molly’s bed when she wakes up. Surprisingly, she loves him!

When we moved inn our house the hall bath had a gold faux finish and a cornice board over the shower. It shouted “old lady” a lot more than “small children.” So we had it painted when the painters came. Then it was just empty until today.
We needed something inexpensive, gender neutral and child-friendly. So after a little hunt on Pinterest we set to work.
It’s a small room so pictures are hard to take. You’ll just have to come visit us to get the full effect.
