Last night we celebrated my Grandpa’s birthday. It’s fun to be part of family gatherings that we used to just hear about on the phone!
Wait, who’s birthday was it?
OK, we let Grandpa blow out a few candles.
Looks like he didn’t mind Samuel stealing the show.
Samuel insisted on the wheel. We managed to choke down the cake although it was hard.
My Grandpa is our children’s only surviving great-grandfather. Glad we have some photos of the three of them.
Today we kept the party alive with our church’s fall festival. It was complete with a giant ice cream sundae which we ate in coats and gloves. Samuel says it’s never too cold for ice cream.
There was face painting. This was a big deal because he’s never wanted anything on his face before.
Horse rides.
Ring toss.
Super handsome 3 1/2 year olds!
Adorable one year olds…I’m not biased in any way.
Pumpkin bowling for the kids.
And the adults.
Whoa! Look at that! Someone put spiderman in my car. Looks like we made a trip back to the face painting station!
And that’s our weekend so far. Wonder what tomorrow wiill bring?
