We made a little spur of the moment trip to OK last week after our San Antonio visit. So Molly got to enjoy a family birthday party this year too!
Molly really discovered how much fun Grandmas can be this trip.
Brother took it upon himself to help with the presents.
Happy Girl!
Shy girl! She wasn’t too sure about the birthday song.
But then maybe all of that attention wasn’t too bad after all…
Aunt Cori came for a visit the day after we got home. So we put her to work!
Samuel '”helped.” Then he got sent to the backyard. His helping tends to include a lot of tasting.
The party theme was “cute as a button.” This is the party that I actually planned to have. Luckily I did most of the prep before we left town since we didn’t get back until Thursday night and the party was Saturday.
Cori did a great job on the cake, as usual!
Smash cake.
Pinterest ideas actually carried out! Loved the button cookies.
More Pinterest…pictures from each month of her first year.
And again, more Pinterest.
Still not sure about the birthday song.
Samuel is waiting in the wings to snatch the buttons. He had his eyes on those for two days.
And this is about as messy as she got. She’s dainty.
The party guests. Eliana, Carter, Molly, Samuel and Gabriel
Not a great photo but this gives you an idea as to how she crawls. A monkey girl.
She’ll be taking over sweeping duties next week.
Watching the crazy boys tear into her gifts.
The boys went outside so we tried the cake again while things were calmer. She thought Aunt Cori should have some.
She did a little better without all the chaos but was still pretty dainty.
And that’s all for birthday parties. Much more to come but we’re in the midst of hurricane preparations at the moment. It’s never dull around here!

LOVE the birthday theme!! Such a cute party. And Cori did awesome, of course! I think Molly's hair is already longer than Anna's. She's growing up so fast.
