Apparently Southern Mississippi is known for their blueberry farms. This morning we headed to Blueberry Hill Drive in Kiln, MS to pick our own blueberries. We loaded our car with 3 car seats and 3 moms and headed north.
After only one panicked potty stop we made it! They’re excited can you tell?
Oh you get to taste the blueberries? I guess this adventure sounds ok.
My goal was to pick a gallon which takes awhile…blueberries are small. So I parked Samuel next to a low hanging branch and showed him which ones were good to pick, gave him a bucket and let him at it. (He’s not much of a help—he ate all of his!)
I picked as fast as I could and we serenaded the place with Row, Row Your Boat, Twinkle, Twinkle and I’ve Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy until he just couldn’t take the stroller any longer.
Then I let him free!
Sometimes you sit on a few. It happens.
Beautiful berries
I have no idea how many he ate…it was a lot.
Then we figured out he moves slower if he has to push the stroller.
Whew! I’m tired! But it was a fun morning and now we have a freezer full of berries!

Beautiful pictures,Stef! We love you-pick farms, but the past few years we've "picked" at Aldi! It's such a treat to have real blueberry muffins in the middle of the winter. I've always wanted to pick at the blackberry farm in Owasso, but we've never been there when berries are in season. I doubt we'll have time next weekend.
