Our weekend is looking like this. Kind of fun for adults who want to curl up with a good book. A total drag for toddlers who prefer to spend every waking moment out back on the "wee." (Swing for those of you who don't speak Samuel.) We try to sneak in a quick swing and slide here and there when the rain takes a break. A wet bottom, you say? Totally worth it for Momma's sanity. You can always toss the shorts in the dryer.
Yesterday we brought out the crayons. He's trying to conjure up some creative genius here. Or maybe he's totally bored with the whole coloring idea and is daydreaming about running willy nilly down the side walk. I'm not sure.
New skill--the fish face.
It's more fun to color on the floor.
Coloring lasted all of 3 minutes.
So we moved on to blocks.
He's getting pretty good at stacking but knocking over Momma's towers is even better.
