The carrots won!

This is what happens when you're eyes get itchy after you try to help your mom with the spoon. Samuel thought it was hilarious. We went straight to the bathtub after this!


We're nerds. We listen to the Gaither Vocal Band. And they are coming to the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo tomorrow night. Poor Mike has asked everyone he knows to go with him. Even Tom C. who's in town from Tulsa (who he really doesn't know) and no one can go with him. We considered hiring a baby-sitter but it doesn't start until 8 pm and it's an hour away on a Wednesday night. I have lots of former students who would love to baby-sit but not late on a school night. Since Samuel usually goes to bed before 8 it would most likely be a disaster if we took him with us. So maybe Mike will just go by himself. We'll see.

In other news, I tried the apple butter and it's delicious. I'll post the recipe on the Our Favorite Recipes blog on the right. Tomorrow we're taking breakfast to Mike's squadron for the September birthdays and just to visit with everyone. And next week...MOPS starts! Yea!!
