I saw a really cute little pumpkin hat at the mall but it was too expensive so I thought I would make my own. The only pattern I could find was for a preemie size so I had to adapt it. The first try was too big (it will probably be perfect for next year) and the second one was too small (I'll just have to give this one to someone.) I had too pull pretty hard to get it down over his head for the picture. So surely the third time will be a charm! The nice thing is that I can make one in about an hour. A good after Samuel's bedtime project!

And this is what I found peeking up at me this morning as I was trying to hurry and get the vacuuming done before he woke up.
Rescue me, Mom! He's discovered that he can watch for us coming up the stairs. So he crys and crys until he sees us then breaks out into a big grin, rolls on his back and reaches up his arms. How can you not pick up this sweet thing?
