Officially a Mother

This story is kind of gross but funny so I'll tell it anyway.

Mike took a sick day yesterday because he got the cold that Samuel and I had only much worse. And obviously it was highly contagious since we all had it so he decided to stay home for a day and not infect the rest of the office. So he since he got to study most of the day and he was feeling better we played Monopoly last night. I was holding Samuel on my lap when we heard(and I felt) the beginning of a series of explosions. The kind where you laugh because you're thinking how can so much force come from such a small body? So I look down to see a blob growing up the back of his onsie. We're just laughing and talking about how much our lives have changed in the last few months, waiting for him to finish up so I can take care of the mess. As soon as he finished I got up to go change him when I discovered that I too was covered in "blobs." Lovely. And a little more disgusting that spit up! Mike took charge of Samuel's cleanup, I cleaned myself up and did some scrubbing in the laundry room and we were back to our game in 10 minutes. I can now say I am officially a mother! HA!
