Mother's Day Weekend in Estes Park

We drove through the CU campus in Boulder on our way home Sunday afternoon. We had to get a picture of Daddy next to the Buffalo in his Colorado Sweatshirt.
One of the hundreds of elk we saw in Rocky Mountain National Park. Mike really wanted to see some wildlife and we saw lots of them in this meadow!

Samuel was not to impressed with the horses.

On the riverwalk in downtown Estes Park.

I'm pretty sure I kissed those cheeks right after I took this picture. Who could resist? This was his first experience in the stroller without his carseat. He liked it much better.
We spent Saturday and Sunday in Estes Park. Saturday was a beautiful day to walk around downtown. We spent the evening playing Scrabble and playing with Samuel. We stripped him down to his diaper and put him on the bed with us. He kicked and squealed for two hours. The next morning we woke up to snow which melted quickly. We drove through Rocky Mountain National Park and attempted a hike but it was a little bit chilly and too snow packed for this clumsy girl! It was a great Mother's Day!
