This is a hodge podge post of all of the things on my camera over the last two weeks.
First we’ll start with our trip to the Kiddie Park. We went on the very last night of the season along with almost everyone else in Oklahoma. It was fun, but going earlier in the year means fewer crowds and better light for pictures as it doesn’t get dark as early. The kids didn’t seem to mind too much and they had a blast as usual. But the girls didn’t really discover that they enjoyed the rides until about 9:00. Figures!
Who’s having the most fun here?
Avery was really beginning to think that we’d all lost our marbles putting her on all this crazy stuff.
And Molly loved every ride that an adult could ride with her. We shoved her on the slowest moving boats you’ve ever seen and this is what she did the whole ride. The poor teenage attendant thought we were mean for making her stay on.
But here she is five minutes later in line for the roller coaster and happy as can be.
Avery still thinks we’re crazy.
Even Daddy joined in on this one.
Apparently boats that move at half a mile per hour are terrifying but roller coasters are great! Crazy girl even rode with her hands in the air the whole time.
Brother got to drive the tractor.
And Avery discovered the fun on the carousel.
In other news, our morning glory bush is huge and full of blooms.
And school is going in full force around here. Some days go swimmingly and others are tricky with a toddler in the house. But this particular morning we had some spontaneous teamwork when Samuel had trouble seeing the Jordan River through his tracing paper during geography. Molly came to the rescue with a flashlight.
He takes map tracing seriously. It’s funny to me the things that he really likes to do when I think it will be boring. Even Molly loves tracing. But I have to say that my geography is lacking terribly so we’re all learning a ton this year! I was able to scoot by feeling fairly capable during US History and Geography but the Ancient stuff is humbling me quickly.
And that’s our week in a nutshell!
