3 Months

 

Dear Avery,

 

You’re three months old!  You’ve made it past the newborn stage and are officially an infant.  You are still as content as content as ever and as long as you get a couple of decent naps each day you’re never fussy except to remind me that you’re an hour past meal time or you really need to burp.  You are so easy to read.  Tired?  You give a couple of wails and then close your eyes.  Hungry?  Suck on your fist until I get the hint.  Sister squishing you?  Holler until we rescue you.  Ha!

I have no idea how much you weigh but you’re filling out 6 month clothes quite nicely and wear a size 2 diaper.  If I had to guess I’d say around 15 lbs.  You’re feet are tiny and your belly is huge.  You’re pretty much the cutest little tub there is!  You’re hair and eyes are still dark and it looks like things will stay that way.  Your eyes sparkle and I love to take pictures of them.

Your smiles come freely now and you talk constantly if you’re awake.  Such a cooer you are.  We are in trouble when you start talking.  You’re favorite time to grin and cackle is on the changing table.  When your brother and sister are near you wear a worried look.  Can’t imagine why that is!

This month you’ve discovered the play gym and will spend an hour there easily.  You also took your first trip to the church nursery and did great.  It’s nice to be able to take your morning nap in a real bed on Sundays now.
