What happened to August?

 

This is the first day of school around here and since this will be our last time to not have somebody going to school we decided to celebrate with a zoo trip.  And it was perfect!  This weather is so great!  It makes for some cold pool water but we’ll take it.

 

We usually call a friend or two but I realized that Molly usually gets stuck in a stroller for the whole day and doesn’t get the same chance to see what everyone else is seeing because she is so content to ride we just forget she’s even in there.  So today we just went alone and took it at her pace.  If she wanted out, she got out!  Most of the time  we had to ask her if she wanted out.  She thought it was pretty fun to be a big kid.

In the last few days, she has developed a love for “wady bugs” and wants to wear this outfit constantly. She also loves Dora.  Mostly the books although she’ll watch the show in a pinch.  She rode around yelling, “say backpack!” all day.  She’ll be two in two days.  I can’t believe it.

And Samuel got to take the time to study all of the maps and see the meer kats.  Two things we don’t always get to do with friends.  He loves to track our progress on all of the map signs.
