Vacation

Last Saturday we loaded up and headed to Oklahoma for the last time as a family of three.

 

Uncle Cason and Aunt Cori brought some fun new water toys.  Cason is now one of Samuel’s best buddies.  He’s willing to play chase which ranks pretty high with Ro Ro.

On Monday, we left Samuel with Grammy and Papa and headed to Branson for a few days.  We had a cabin on the lake, went to Silver Dollar City, saw two shows and did a lot of sitting on the porch.  It was lovely and toddler free…which is exactly what we needed.  (Although it felt like we couldn’t get back to Owasso fast enough on Friday.  Turns out life without a certain two-year-old is only fun for so long!)

When we returned to Owasso Samuel was at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  On Saturday we went to a birthday party for a little girl in Jerry’s Sunday School class.  Samuel was one of the youngest there and didn’t know a soul but he didn’t care.  He hopped right up on the bench and dug in.

 

He kept telling this little girl that he has blue eyes.  I’m not really sure why she needed to know that but he told her anyway.

 

We had a great time both in OK and in Branson and I’m pretty sure Samuel enjoyed his time with all of the grandparents.  This morning he kept telling me that he would be going back to Oklahoma in two days.  It’s a good thing that he has no concept of time!

 

On the road yesterday we realized that the next time we drive to Oklahoma we’ll have TWO carseats in the back.  Yikes!
