You’ve already seen this picture but I just figured out how to do this little trick and I thought it was fun.
Now on to the good stuff:
We always have a little family Christmas before heading to Oklahoma so that we don’t have to drag our gifts there and back. We usually do it on the Saturday before we leave and we have a special breakfast, open gifts, listen to Christmas music, relax in our jammies, sipping coffee while leisurely reading the paper…ok maybe we don’t do those last few things anymore but we used to! It’s much more fun now anyway. And there are more toys!
Daddy and Samuel come downstairs to discover Santa left something in their stockings!
Oh boy! Truck stickers!
Opening presents is serious work.
This is a terrible picture that’s way out of focus but I thought it was kind of funny. He looks like a little ghost of Christmas past or something.
Samuel ended up with a lot of Elmo things since Santa shopped the Target clearance back in the summer when the only thing he was interested in was Elmo. He didn’t seem to mind though and at one point in the whole process he exclaimed, “Oh, I happy, I happy!” over and over again. I think it’s safe to say he’s into Christmas this year. He also got a set of Mega Blocks which he played with all morning; a new Elmo potty and some big boy underwear!
Mike got an ESV Study Bible, Scrabble, and some new sunglasses while I got a new camera lens! Yippee!
I’ll show you what it does on a subject that’s a little easier to photograph. Notice how the background is really fuzzy? That’s what this lens will do for ya! I love it.
And here’s a few of the new blocks…
We are enjoying this Christmas season very much and can’t wait to be with our family in Oklahoma very soon!
