Grammy and Papa Part 1 USS Alabama

Grammy and Papa arrived last Saturday evening. They came on one of the hottest days we've had so far and our air conditioner kept going out. But maintenance got it fixed for us and we enjoyed the evening. (That is a perk of living on base and not owning our own home I guess!)

Sunday we went to church and just hung around while Samuel napped. Then Mike and I went out to celebrate our anniversary. We love when the grandparents visit!

Monday we headed over to Mobile to check out the USS Alabama.

Grammy and Samuel decide what to see first.

A model of the ship

Some scuba gear used in WWII.

There was also an airplane museum. This is a shot from the deck of the ship.

We were glad to make it through the ship and hit the airplanes inside an air conditioned hanger. Samuel had had about enough riding time and he was ready to get out. I think pushing the stroller around in circles was his favorite part of the museum. The rest of us took turns touring the submarine. We thought the ship had tight living conditions until we saw the sub. I'm glad I'm not in the Navy!

Group shot before heading out for some lunch.

Tuesday-Thursday coming soon.

I'm so glad you had a good visit with your parents! Mom was here last week and I didn't want her to leave. Love the new look of the blog!
