Birthday Celebrations Part 2

Who likes it the most, Daddy or Samuel?

Well, since yesterday was his actual birthday we had another celebration last night. We couldn't decide what to get him so we didn't get his present until yesterday. After throwing around several ideas we thought what does he like to do most? Climb in, out, around over, etc. So we decided on a tunnel and tent. He loves it! And the best part--it folds up like the shades for your windshield and fits nicely in the coat closet. What better gift is there?

Let me help you, Daddy.

Birthdays are so fun!

The birthday king in his new tent. I can't believe we have a one year old!

We went for his one year check-up this morning. He weighs 18 lbs and 7 oz, is 28 inches long and his head is 18.5 inches around (he's very smart so he needs room for lots of brains). He showed Dr. Ruff all of his tricks and then we waved good-bye to all the nurses that have helped us over the last year since we (hopefully) won't be seeing them again before we move. Dr. Ruff has worked at the Keesler hospital and she thinks that they have one of the best Pediatric clinics in the Air Force so I feel a little better about switching him over. Not that we have much of a choice! We have been very pleased with Peterson's clinic and they have always been really helpful. We will miss them. I mentioned to her that his legs were really dry and I couldn't ever keep enough lotion on them. She said it was eczema and gave us a prescription for hydrocortisone and Aquaphor so hopefully we'll get that cleared up soon! Other than that he's a healthy boy!

I love those tents! The boys got a firetruck one from Grandma Jane a couple of years back and it is in great shape. I just trashed the one Santa brought this Christmas that had easily breakable poles. Don't tell Santa, okay?
